Poster/social media
For this project, Professor Goffe tasked us with creating not only a poster for a live event but also three 3x3 inch social media apps that correlate with the poster/event that we chose. After lots of researching and brainstorming, I finally came up with the idea to do my poster and social media project on liberty basketball. I have grown up playing basketball my whole life and had just attended a liberty basketball game the night before, so this project sparked into my mind quickly. I found some inspiration and got to creating first some rough sketches then cleaned them up a little bit and then when I had something I liked I moved over to my computer where I really started creating the main skeleton of this poster. After I had a black and white draft and got some opinions from the class, I completed the final poster and then printed it out for my final submission. Looking at the poster you can see Virginia in a lighter baby blue making up the bottom of the backboard. I figured that the state would make a perfect fit for one of the edges of the backboard and it would just add those extra design elements that hopefully would draw people's attention. With the social media designs, I went to my Appstore and looked for inspiration through other liberty apps. I feel as though this project really came together, but if I could go back and change one thing I would try and work on the apps a little bit more and try to have a similar color scheme between all of them.

Identity
For this project, Professor Goffe tasked us with creating a redesign for local restaurants in the area. We could only use 3 colors and we had to create a completely new design for this restaurant just off the name. I chose to create my design for the cavalier. The design process was much harder than I thought it was going to be not only due to the limited color palette but also because I could not get past the idea of doing something similar to the Cleveland Cavaliers logo. I was looking for inspiration and it was extremely hard to find designs for cavaliers without finding something from the well-known NBA team. After a lot of research, I finial found two designs that I thought would work perfectly together so I took inspiration from both and created my own logo for this restaurant. I had a lot of fun creating business cards because I had never done something like this before. I got the idea to use a QR code from a project I had seen earlier in the year and figured it would add a much more modern approach to the classic business card. If I could change one thing about this project, it would definitely be the color limit.

Brochure
For this project, Professor Goffe tasked us with creating a travel brochure for a place of our choosing. We needed to create a cover page, an envelope, a contact page, and then three information pages that would go on the inside of the brochure. I chose to do New York City because I had gone there a few summers ago on a mission trip with my church and while in the city we went to all the big tourist attractions. I decided to work all these attractions into my brochure, but I did not just want a basic design, so I decided to form the images in these circular bubbles and then add a red outline. I chose to do this because I wanted to have just images and then a long paragraph under it would be too boring and has just been done so many times. One of my favorite panels is the cover page, I really liked how the cover shows all the main architecture you think of when you think of New York. I also really like how it incorporates the famous saying “The City That Never Sleeps.” Overall, I really enjoyed this project If I were to do it again, I would love to challenge myself more and do a place I had never been to.
